Head lice
We have a case of head lice in class 3.
Please check your children, first infection can be very hard to spot.
PLEASE follow the instructions fully on the treatment.
Head lice and nits
Head lice are tiny insects that live in hair. Nits are the empty egg cases attached to hair that head lice hatch from.
Head lice are a common problem, particularly in school children aged 4 to 11, but they can be very difficult to spot.
They’re largely harmless, but can live in the hair for a long time if not treated and can be irritating and frustrating to deal with.
Head lice can make your head feel:
- itchy
- like something is moving in your hair
Treatments to get rid of head lice are available to buy from pharmacies, supermarkets and online.
Everyone in your household should be treated on the same day.
