FoNSS - North Stainley Primary School's Fundraising Group

Friends of North Stainley School (FoNSS) is a voluntary fundraising group that welcomes both parents and villagers to organise events. 

For a small school, FONSS raises a huge amount of money, almost 300% of that which is raised by comparable schools, which is a testament to the hard work of the committee and the wider community.

The money raised by FONSS helps the school to purchase IT equipment, pay for coaches to take children on excursions and allows the school to host special visitors. The money raised by FONSS also goes towards paying for equipment for extra curricular activities such as music, historical visits to local attractions and subsidises swimming lessons.

To raise the money needed by the school, FONSS have a fundraising target of £7000 a year. The largest fundraising event is the Lightwater Valley 10K held in March, which has a target of raising half of this money. FoNSS Meeting

The next FoNSS meeting will be held at 6:30pm on Wednesday 2nd October at The Staveley Arms.

We welcome anybody who would like to attend as well as any new members to the committee. Meetings are held regularly and timings can be flexible to allow as many people to be involved as possible.

We have a "FoNSS Supporters" WhatsApp group that is used to communicate with parents who wish to support FoNSS, even occasionally. Communications may include requests for help, suggestions or just to let people know of any developments - there are certainly no strings attached.
