School Uniform
We believe that our school uniform is important:
It looks smart
Wears well
Contributes to a sense of belonging and community
Makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance
Fosters a feeling of pride
Is designed with health and safety in mind
This is in line with the latest Department for Education guidance (updated Nov 2025) on school uniform policy ensuring affordability and accessibility https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-uniform/school-uniforms .
School Uniform:
Without logo can be purchased fro any supermarket or any other educational outfitter or with logo can be purchased from The Uniform Shop in Ripon.
Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan (logo optional)
Royal blue polo shirt (logo optional)
Mid or dark grey trousers, shorts, skirt or pinafore
Blue gingham dress
Grey or black tights
Grey or white plain socks
Flat black shoes or boots
We also ask that all children wear the uniform and encourage them to maintain a good standard of clean and tidy dress in school.
Hair accessories such as slides, ribbons bobbles, etc, should be fairly simple and if possible, in school colours.
For safety reasons no jewellery should be worn in school. If children have pierced ears, they should only wear a simple stud. These must always be removed for PE/swimming. Children must be able to remove these themselves for PE and swimming. Children must not wear nail varnish for school.
Parents are asked to ensure that all items are labelled clearly with their child’s name.
PE Kit
For health reasons it is important that children are properly dressed for physical activity.
PE kit should be kept in a named bag.
Plain white t-shirt
Navy blue shorts
Plain navy or black jogging bottoms and plain navy or black regular or zipped up hoody - for outdoor PE in colder weather (children will not be allowed to wear their school sweatshirt for PE)
Black or white plain socks
Sensible trainers
