Following the announcement on the 15th July 2026 regarding the proposal to close North Stainley CE Primary School, a 4 week 'listening period' now commences during which time parents, carers and other stakeholders have the opportunity to ask and submit questions about the closure and how the process will operate for all parties.

Once the 4 week period ends at midnight on the 30th September 2026, the Secretary of States considers all points raised, and a final decision will be made on whether the funding agreement should be terminated and the school is closed.
