We've had some fantastic sporting opportunities for the children over the last couple of weeks.

On Thursday 19th March, we enjoyed a fantastic taster session with the All Stars and Dynamos cricket team. It was wonderful to see the entire school coming together, playing as a team, and developing their cricketing skills. We were also delighted to make use of the recreation ground for the first time this year, especially on such a beautiful sunny afternoon. All of the children received special wristbands in recognition of their participation and were warmly invited to join future events if they wish.

On Tuesday 24th March, we had a fantastic time at the Cross Country Festival and were fortunate to avoid the rain. The children showed excellent teamwork and sportsmanship throughout, supporting one another and representing the school with pride. A special mention goes to Abigail, who delivered an outstanding performance, winning her race convincingly against competitors from several other schools. It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning, and we are incredibly proud of all the children.

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils then had a fantastic time after school on Tuesday. Following a busy morning at the cross country festival, they showed great resilience as they went on to compete against Fountains and Grewelthorpe in an inter-school dodgeball competition at the village hall. The matches were closely contested and full of excitement, making for a thoroughly enjoyable event. One of the key values in dodgeball is honesty, and our children demonstrated this exceptionally well throughout. Well done to all of Year 5 and 6 for their effort, sportsmanship, and positive attitude.

We are incredibly proud of all of the children.
