After extensive discussion and deliberation, Leeds Diocesan Learning Trust Directors have regretfully come to the decision to propose to the Secretary of State for Education, the closure of North Stainley CE School at the end of the Summer term 2027. Parents/carers and other stakeholders were made aware of this proposal on 15th July 2026. Class 1 went on a visit to Thorp Perrow last week and had a fantastic time. We enjoyed learning about trees and plants, spotted amazing animals such as meerkats and wallabies, watched a fantastic birds of prey show, and ended with fun in the park. A wonderful day of learning and adventure!

We are looking forward to our special Advent and Christmas themed JAM session on Monday 1st December after school. We'll be hearing the story of 'The Grumpy Owl and the Joy of Christmas' and then doing lots of activities as we explore this theme. We had a wonderful day on Thursday raising money for Children in Need. Thank you for your generous donations. The children all came to school dressed in their sporty clothes (some spotty and sporty!) and we challenged ourselves to run laps to keep fit.
