We are looking forward to our special Advent and Christmas themed JAM session on Monday 1st December after school. We'll be hearing the story of 'The Grumpy Owl and the Joy of Christmas' and then doing lots of activities as we explore this theme. Come and decorate biscuits, make your own advent wreath, make an advent wreath for church, make an advent calendar, play a Christmas game... and lots more besides! We had a wonderful day on Thursday raising money for Children in Need. Thank you for your generous donations. The children all came to school dressed in their sporty clothes (some spotty and sporty!) and we challenged ourselves to run laps to keep fit. We all enjoyed a refreshing ice-cream when the van came to see us and we tracked Sara Cox and her marathon challenge of getting Pudsey to Pudsey! Today we have been thinking about Remembrance day and the sacrifices that were made by selfless people during the wars in order for us to be here today. We had a special Collective Worship lead by Reverend. Simon all about 'quiet' and how this coincides with Armistice Day, before we all made our way out to the churchyard to lay a wreath on a war veterans grave and stand for a two minutes silence to ay our respects.
