Charlie and The Chocolate Factory Day: 2nd July

DATE CHANGE!

We are having to change the date of the 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' Day- this will now take place on Wednesday the 2nd of July.

Apologies!

Dear Parents and Families,

Over the last few weeks we have been reading ‘Charlie And The

Chocolate Factory’ as our class book at story time. We have been

looking at the text in our Guided Reading sessions, and the children

have been writing their own ‘Factory’ stories in our English lessons. The

children have thoroughly enjoyed this and have written some amazing

stories.

I would like to finish the unit of work by holding a ‘Charlie And The

Chocolate Factory Day’ on Thursday 3 rd July. The children could dress

up as character (if they want to- but please do not spend lots of money).

We will have an activity morning when we will make chocolates, golden

tickets and stick puppets for their stories. In the afternoon we will watch

the 1970’s film version of ‘Charlie And The Chocolate Factory’.

We would like to invite parents to come into class after drop off on the

day so you can have the opportunity to share the children’s stories.
