A busy winning week!

We have had another great week of learning in Class Two. We are so very proud of everyone's tremendous efforts in the England Rocks TT Rockstars Competition. Thank you for your support at home. We came in the top 50 out of 4000 schools nationally and 7th in the Yorkshire and Humber group! It was so much fun and such a great success that we are already planning our next competition between ourselves, Fountains and Grewelthorpe!

In our English sessions, we have finished writing our balanced arguments this week. The children choose whether to reflect on increasing the number of PE lessons in a week or to discuss if Television should be banned. They then produced a balanced argument, considering the arguments for and against their chosen topic, before finally reflecting on their own opinions. The children had some great ideas for their writing and showed great skills using conjunctions and purposeful sentence starters that helped their arguments flow.

We also furthered our learning about our focus world religion - Hinduism or Hindu Dharma. The children have learnt more about Hindu Gods and created some delightful artwork which we share more of next week.
