It has been so busy this week, to have squeezed so much learning and work in between has been aspirational! In between wearing odd socks, having 2 minutes silence, parents evening, ice-cream and laps of running... we have:
Continuing working within Addition and Subtraction with KS1, this week we have been working on adding three 1-digit numbers, finding a part (missing numbers) and 8-fact fact families, while reception have been focusing on the numbers 4 and 5!
In phonics Year One have been working on split digraphs, while Year 2 have moved onto 'Bridge to Spellings' where we are starting to look at and understand spelling rules, and Reception have learnt another 3 new sounds this week: z/zz, qu and ch!
Year Two have been reading a poem called 'Beware' this week all about bears in Guided reading, while reception read about different rabbits and Year One read about tracking T-Rex's!
In science we have been learning about living things including humans, learning about the five main categories (mammals, birds, reptiles, fish and amphibians) and how to categorise them, as well as learning about carnivores, herbivores and omnivores!
