In English, we are almost finished with our non-chronological reports. The children have been adding lots of interesting details and focusing carefully on the quality of their writing. We are looking forward to sharing their work with you soon.

In maths, children in Years 5 and 6 have been learning how to draw, measure and calculate angles, while Years 3 and 4 have just begun a new topic on time.

In geography, we have enjoyed comparing North Stainley with Ripon and Masham. Using interactive maps, the children explored these places and identified many similarities and differences. It has been a very interesting and engaging topic.

We had a very busy end to the week. The children were full of excitement for their first swimming session at the leisure centre, which went extremely well. They are already looking forward to next week. This was followed by a P.E. lesson and a dance session in preparation for an upcoming festival. We will be sure to share more details about this exciting event nearer the time!
